Stainless Steel & Nickel based alloys Sawing Seminar - November 2011
KR Saws are hosting a free Stainless Steel & Nickel based alloys Sawing Seminar in association with the BSSA to be hosted at Prosaw, Kettering. The seminar will update on new saw blade cutting technology, with actual machine demonstrations to show new possibilities when cutting the Nickel alloy range. This workshop will be of value to those involved with stainless steel and nickel alloy sawing. Especially engineers, production managers and business owners who are responsible for sawing process controls and costs.

KR Saws installs the UK's first Loroch K850 saw grinding machine
The arrival to KR Saws of the 5-axis CNC Loroch Solution in September 2010 was the first Loroch K850 saw grinding machine installation in the UK. The investment confirms KR Saws commitment to the UK's steel and steel tube cutting industry. The Loroch K850 acquisition has solved issues by improving our accuracy and repeatability and providing the technical team with the ability to offer a more diverse range of bespoke solutions. With prestigious customers such as Tata, Caparo, Marcegaglia and Benteler we know that we have to continually evolve our products to deliver productivity gains for our end users. To this end, the 5-axis Loroch has a CAD facility on the machine that enables us to design any tooth form or geometry, allowing us to offer solutions specific to each customer application to enhance their productivity. KR Saws expands its UK technical support - May 2011
KR Saws are proud to announce the appointment of Mark Taylor to the KR Saws technical application team. Mark joined KR Saws on the 1st May 2011; he brings with him 20 years experience in the saw blade industry gained with Sheffield Saw (formerly known as Spear and Jackson).
Mark is based in the Manchester area and will focus on developing and supporting KR Saws growing sales in the North West UK.
Mark joins a team of experienced application engineers dedicated to providing the best technical support for the UK's metal cutting industry.

KR Saws takes over Leicester Saw Blades
KR Saws acquired the Leicester Saw Blade Company on the 1st January 2010. As part of KR Saws strategic growth plan this acquisition brings further opportunity to expand its HSS and Segmental Saw Blade business throughout the UK. The Leicester Saw Blade Company was liquidated on the 31st December 2009 and the factory has now been closed and consolidated into the KR Saws Coventry operation.
In an open letter to former customers Mr. Peter Worton, founder and former MD of Leicester Saw Blades said;
"After 27 years and reaching retirement age, I have decided to close the Leicester Saw Blade Company. The operation will be taken over by world leading saw blade manufacturer Kinkelder BV servicing the UK via their daughter company KR Saws Ltd based in Coventry.
This co-operation will ensure continued supply, service and technical support for all your saw blade requirements. KR Saws will contact you shortly to discuss your ongoing requirements.

KR Saws Stainless Steel Sawing Seminar - December 2009
KR Saws organised a free dedicated stainless steel sawing seminar in December 2009 in association with the BSSA and hosted at Prosaw, Kettering. The seminar enabled KR Saws not only to discuss cutting theory, but also to demonstrate actual production sawing rates on Prosaw's range of band and circular sawing machines. The seminar was attended by over 50 companies, all giving a positive feed- back on the benefits of attending. The seminar challenged older traditional approaches to cutting stainless steel and nickel based alloys offering significant production cutting speeds.
